From Doug...
10:35pm...I just got off the phone with a New Brother. He was discouraged, torn, and tired, but he got my call this week and wanted to be sure I knew he hadn't given up; he wasn't quitting. This brother was really feeling beat down; life since his release has not been easy. That's quite typical for men coming out of prison. That's why it's important for us to call, and why it means so much that he called back. I really love to hear a man say, "Thank you for taking the time to call me." It conforms to me what God has put on my heart: It doesn't matter if my call is ignored time after time after time. What matters is that a New Brother knows someone cares enough to call. He knows someone's praying for him, and that if he ever changes his mind, the door is open. I can't tell you what a blessing it is to know that NBF has that reputation with men, a place where they will always be welcome.
It's been a very difficult season for us. Health problems abound. Only by God's Spirit and grace can we forge ahead in faith. His promises never waiver. We too, must not grow weary in well doing. The devil knows what is at stake. However, God is faithfully maturing men for His divine purpose. We are so blessed to be a part of His work, and to have you stand with us in faith. Thank you.

Men In Prison on Christmas Eve...Help Us Make A Difference
We have also been given permission to pass out gift bags to each and every man at our special Christmas Eve service at the FARM. We need cookies, candy canes, and cards. If you do not live in the area, or do not bake, consider writing a dozen cards and mailing them to us. We have posted all the guidelines for The Christmas Eve Blessing on the NBF website. Please, check them out here: LINK
Again, we just want to stress what an opportunity this is to share the gospel with all the men. Please, help us make the most of it!
I would also like to extend a special THANK YOU to Carol Rice and Chris Svoleantopoulos , Volunteers at the FARM. Carol, along with help from her church, is once again putting together gifts for the family members of guys at the FARM. This is no small undertaking, but the rewards are great. Carol and Chris are a wonderful blessing to the men.

PRAYER Requests
Healing
I am asking you specifically to pray for my skin. I've really been struggling for a few weeks now and there doesn't seem to be a move towards healing. Schedules and appointments are being effected and I can't tell you how much I hate that. Please pray for healing, restoration, and protection from another MRSA infection.
Christmas Eve
Please, keep this important outreach in prayer! Pray for every volunteer, and each man at the Farm. Pray for the correctional officers and staff. Pray for open ears, open eyes, and open hearts. Pray for favor with the administrators.
The Men
Men like the one who called tonight are all over our county. They need you to continually keep them before the throne of God. The challenges they face are so immense. To stand in faith takes great courage...divine courage. Please pray for New Brothers today.
